AiDGE™ — Upstream AI Governance Architecture
Patent Pending — U.S. Provisional Application Filed January 2026
Governance at the Execution Boundary
Artificial intelligence governance has traditionally focused on model behavior, policy compliance, and post-execution monitoring.
AiDGE introduces governance before execution occurs.
AiDGE (Artificial Intelligence Decision Governance Engine) establishes a structural control layer positioned between institutional authority and AI-mediated action. It determines whether an AI system is permitted to execute prior to automation, analytics, or operational impact.
AiDGE does not evaluate outputs.
It governs participation.
The Structural Distinction
AI governance exists in two domains:
Downstream Governance
– Evaluates outputs
– Monitors behavior
– Audits after execution
Upstream Governance
– Validates authority before action
– Determines execution eligibility
– Prevents unauthorized automation
AiDGE operates upstream.
Placement defines control.
Architectural Placement

[Execution Environment]
AiDGE integrates alongside existing governance, security, and compliance systems without replacing them.
It is model-agnostic and vendor-independent.
Prototype Status
A working prototype of AiDGE has been developed and validated in controlled environments.
The prototype demonstrates deterministic execution gating and fail-closed behavior under unauthorized conditions.
Implementation mechanics remain confidential pending patent prosecution.
